It's All Beginning...
Ah, updates! Trying to get back in to the habit of updating regularly. Apologies to anyone who subscribed and found nothing but archives to read!
Paranormal State. I guess this is the biggest news right now. It's been a little over a year since we started working on "Paranormal State" (formerly "Paranormal U"). A&E has been more than supportive. I can't begin to tell you how fun and creative this process has been. And now, the promotion for A&E is literally just beginning. The official website has just opened. www.paranormalstate.com . We are also going to a few conventions/paranormal groups to promote it. According to the website, "Paranormal State" debuts in December. That's three short months from now. Gulp.
UNIV-CON. I can't believe that it's less than a month-and-a-half until UNIV-CON. I can't wait to see ya'll. We're working full-time on the conference right now. It's insane here in the office. Sergey is workin it pretty well. This will be his third year as conference manager. We can't wait for people to be a part of this conference. Heck, I can't wait. Penn State Football. Did anyone see Penn State whoop Notre Dame on Saturday??? I was expecting it, but it was still awesome to watch. Now we're ranked at Number Twelve (at least on the AP). A lot of people are talking about how we have a good shot at being the Big Ten champs. However, that depends on how we deal with Wisconsin and Ohio State. I'm gonna do my best to attend the Ohio State game. So far I've had to miss the past two home games.
Dragon Con. An amazing event. I thought it would be interesting to go to a convention but I never put much thought in to it. However, we finally convinced ourselves to go. We also got to do a Q&A panel for "Paranormal State." It was a lot of fun and I got to see a lot of familiar faces: Dave Schrader, Patrick Burns, Chip Coffey, Jason Hawes (didn't get to see Grant), Steve, and others. I also got to meet Spike, Commander Riker and Darth Maul! Crazy!
The Paranormal Counselor. Has anyone been over to Jamie's PRS blog? jamie.pennstateprs.com . It's very thought-provoking and a great read. For any paranormal investigators, I highly suggest you taking the time to read it. It has a lot of good material.

Hey I was watching the episode tonight of your new show and I know this might sound crazy but when you were at the table and the psychic wrote down the denoms name a name popped into my head and I think that it is it. It starts with a B and ends with an L????? I didn't want ot write it on here though in case people saw it. Anyways sorry to bother you if it was just a figament of my imagination getting the best of me. Good luck with your show.

I watched the premiere of Paranormal State, I loved it, although next time I won't be watching it by myself in the dark. Looking forward to the rest of the season...I'm spreading the word to everyone I know to watch this show.

I don't know if Ryan Buell actually reads these, but the demon he fases on the second episode of "Paranormal State" is very familiar to me. I paused the tv as the name flashed and I realized that I know that name well. I know it from childhood which was the time that I was a devout christian. I had a lot of creepy paranormal things happen to me during that time. I became an atheist so that I would be left alone and it worked. I wonder if I did the right thing... I also wonder if anyone else saw the name and knows it. Out of respect for Ryan I will not write the name here. I sort of worry about him because this is a very dangerous thing he is dealing with, and I wish him luck. He's going to need it.

I just wanted to tell you I really love your show. I was just talking to my husband (after watching "ghost hunters") and I was telling him I wish there was a show that presented another side of Paranormal investigation. I saw your show for the first time last night, and I have to say, I'm hooked. I admire the work your group does, helping people. Thanks. Looking forward to more...

I understand what your going through. I too have had many dealings with the paranormal. But i take to light that i don't care what others think, because its what matters to me.
Good job and keep up the good work, you really do help alot of people.

I haven't seen your show as my schedule doesn't allow, but I saw your clips on msn. very intriguing stuff. I grew up in a haunted house and now live in a VERY spiritual state, there is native American, Hispanic and old history here and being very sensitive to it, I'm glad there are more of us out there. Thank you for reminding me I'm not alone.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that perhaps in the future, could you refrain from flashing demon names across the screen? Not only is it distracting, but I actually accidentally called him into my house when I repeated the name. If this were to happen with some other person who does not know how to deal with it, it might be bad, eh?
Thought you should know. Great show, by the way. I love how you have a therapist to help the family/people get through their own problems. Good luck in the future! Hope you see this.
Author's Response: It wasn't the decision of PRS to flash the anagram's on to the screen. Thank you about the therapist remark. Bringing in counselors and psychologists is essential when working on paranormal cases. Thank you for the kind remarks and Happy Holidays.

The name I keep coming up with in my head since Ryan first mentioned demon is *****. I don't know this is Ryan's demon, however I can not get the name out of my head. My own research shows on one hand he is a demon "Prince of Infernal Fire" but also that the Archangel Gabriel welcomed him into heaven saying "I present *****, the Archangel of Cleansing." Just wondering what anyone's thoughts might be?

However, since I have taken the stance to not say the name or give it any recognition, I will not publish comments that contain the name. I will edit it out. Sorry for withholding this information, but if I approve the comment with the name published, I feel that I am contributing to the use of the name and I don't want that on my spiritual conscious at this time. Maybe this stance will change in the future.

I watched your show last night as I couldn't sleep, I really couldn't sleep after certain segments sent chills up my spine, I think you sent the demon spitit my way through the tv, is this real safe to do to people?, I myself have a real faith in God and always considered myself a demon hunter and have had strange experiances, but my chronic pain and taking meds makes me nervous at times of being succeptable as I haven't battled and demons for at leaST 14 years, I suspect bezibel or elizebal came to me and scared the fuck out a me, haven't no sleep since and had to go online, I'm scared tonight and am praying I still have the strengh to deal with this spirit again that you may have sent to me, I'm not young anymore, I take Oxycontin and my lower spine feels like it's rotting now that I seen your show, it really intersted me and untill the demon name stuff, then I understood you are playing with fire, Have you ever heard of Victor Ernest?, he seen me as a child for runnuing away from home, he told me storys scare you, demons hate him.

I saw that comment about Notre Dame..lol (Go Irish!). I still like your show despite that you guys are Penn State fans. Notre Dame will make its comeback soon enough....ok maybe not in '08, but soon enough...lol.

hi ryan my names katie and i have a question about the paranormal ive had my own expierence and never told anyone about it um its kind of scarey to me and plus i was afraid of it for a while.This happened years ago and ive moved like umpteen times since then for other reasons but when i began watching your show and ms.lorraine warran was on it i started rembering again i have my smugging sticks and my faith in case i get scared again but i have to say i agree with ms.lorraine a 100 percent about spirits feeding off on energies of people or something like that iam really glad that i watced your show because alot of what she has said v alidated what i had already felt and i don't feel so alone about this it takes alot of guts to do what you and your team do so thank you ryan and i will keep you in my prayers for a while as long as need be. oh and you look good to on camra.

Ryan, I think what your doing is wonderful. So impressed that you are trying to get people assistance whether they are on this side or the other. Kind of makes life seem like a cosmic game of red rover, red rover.

We, are avid fans of Paranormal state, it was not televised 7 April 08 and is not scheduled for the 14 of Apri. my ? has the series been cancled.

So, Ryan what happen to the show? It's not listed on the A&E program listings. Has it been removed temporarily or permanently?

Dear Ryan,
I love watching your show Paranormal State on A&E. I have never missed a show. When will a new show air because Paranormal State hasn't been on for a couple of weeks. I have been interested in the paranormal since I was a little kid. I would love to meet you and your team to talk about some of the investigations you guys have gone on. I would give anything to join you guys on an investigation.
