That Whole "Demon" Thing
So I'm at a bar here in State College, having a good ol' time when a group of fellow Penn Staters approach me to chat. They're fans of the show and we get to talking. For the most part, we chat about other things while taking turns buying rounds. I start hitting it up with very attractive gal. The night seems like it'll be a fun one and hilarious conversations ensue. But then she leans towards me and asks, "Ryan, what's with the whole 'demon' thing?"
WHAT a turn on.
Alas, it seems that a good chunk of America wants to know. I guess it makes sense, being that 2-3 million people got to see "The Name" and its continuation, "Devil in Syracuse." Back then, people had preconceptions of what this show is about. Heck, some still do. There's no shortage of ignorance in this world, that's for sure.
Now that Season One is over and done with, I guess many feel cheated and disappointed that It-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named didn't make another cameo. Some even bought in to my pre-April Fool's joke when I said that the demon would return in the season finale for a final showdown (I also said Lorraine would be wearing brass knuckles for the fight... people ate it up, anyway).
The demon never made a return visit because this show IS NOT scripted! It was part of something that really happened when we were filming, but then we moved on. Will we ever return to address it? Who knows...
The story of my confrontations with the "demonic" are personal and private. I have shared a little because I wanted people to understand where I was coming from with "The Name." "The Name," in the grand story of my life, is really a continuation of something that started years ago when I first started working on demonic cases. So, in reality, America got to see Part Three without seeing Part One and Two.
I was disappointed that A&E chose to air "The Name" so quickly, but I also understand why they did. I think the message and impact of that episode would have gone down a little smoother had it aired in the middle of the season, or even towards the end. Maybe not.
I actually agreed to do an episode commentary for "The Name" on the Paranormal State DVD, which is on sale via AETV.COM, and hits stores nationwide at the end of this month. I think people really wanted to know more about the demonic stuff will really appreciate that commentary.
Ever since these episodes came out, I've received a slew of e-mails from people claiming that the same demon is hiding in their bedroom or behind their toilet. The episodes definitely connected to a very real fear deep-seeded in many Americans. Whether Satan really is hiding in people's bathrooms is beyond me. Personally, I always imagined the Devil hanging out in Panama City on an indefinite vacation. Why does he need to be terrorizing people? The world seems to be in a pretty dark state as it is.
I do have to agree with skeptics/debunkers on some things. I don't believe the Devil is everywhere and I don't believe people should spend time worrying about demons. Alas, there are plenty of people out there frightening others with tales of the demonic and how Satan is going to get your soul. I hear about it all the time, especially on paranormal events. I recently attended OmegaCon and found out that I was speaking on the Demonology panel. I didn't realize that I had become an expert on demonology, but I spoke nonetheless. What I realized is that talking about the demonic really isn't my thing, because people just want to be scared. I said my piece, but really tried to affirm to the guests that we shouldn't spend a whole lot of time being worried about Satan. And this is coming from my religious views.
I think that the majority of people who come to these talks and want to get involved in demonology are already believers. They are drawn to it for many reasons. And they want to hear about the creepy Linda Blair stuff.
As for me and PS, the demon thing is done for now. If fate decides that we must address it again, then we'll deal with that when it comes.

hmmm..i agree with all you said and yet i think that people NEED to know about demonology and satan and the state of the world. you have very religious views and that is all the more reason you should know sweep it under the rug until the "it comes up" again. it is ALWAYS here because we are in spiritual warfare everyday albeit usually invisible. but once you see it yuo cannot close your eyes to it. it is an important issue and taking it with a grain of salt or giving it lack of daily iimportance seems a bit naive. not that we should dwell on it but we need to be aware that is here everyday and in every thing that happens so that we can see it isnt just chance or bad luck. maybe we should talk about it more, people should be afraid because it is very real, and then they would evnvelop God and their faith more whole-heartedly.

Chrisa, you hit the nail on the head. After reading what Ryan wrote I was about to explain the same thing. I wanted to add something to that. Ryan, the minute you speak about your "personal life" to someone (and in your case all of America) you just gave them not only permission to be involved in your personal life but also, it's no longer personal. I find it absurd to turn around and make sarcastic comments about someone who was just inquiring on what the whole demon thing was about. Ryan you brought it up, so now explain yourself. Plus anyone who would speak of something that personal gives the impression that they are open to speaking about it. You can't assume everyone knows your not comfortable taking about this, so check your expectations. Second I find you to be pretty entitled. That you feel you should be on T.V. where you are bringing up confrontational topics but then request that people should respect your privacy. This is fame baby, get used to it or don't talk about your personal issues. I have nothing against you Ryan but I don't feel you are emotionally or spiritually ready to handle not only being on t.v. but what you are inviting into your life. If you're not even aware that evil is everywhere, your in real big trouble buddy. Evil doesn't presents itself to a select few. Just like God doesn't. God is everywhere and so is evil. Thirdly if this show does air again, it needs to be longer than 1/2 an hour. By the time I think I might have figured out what could possibly, maybe be going on, the show ends with no explanation or wrap up. Nothing. Simple shows with simple concepts air for a 1/2 hour, this show needs an hour.

That really sucks about the chick. I know what that is like though. I get so angry when Im presenting my research at a conference, and guys come up to me and arent even there to hear about my work... they come over and just want to hit on me. It really turns me off and frustrates me, because i spend so much time putting the presentation together and i don't get any respect when i do present it. People need to realize that there is a time and place for everything.... demonology isn't a topic meant for the bars

I agree with you 100%.. It is you and only you who needs to know the details of what happened to you.
And yes people will always be interested in what you do or what you have seen. There are things out there that we have yet to explain. Thank you for trying to help thee wrold understand.

I think you've handled the whole controversy with grace. I know it has to be hard. I would go crazy if people kept bring it up over and over.

Hi Ryan, So I take it nothing came out of the evening !! But to some extent you have to expect that.I guess there are many people out there that "Only look at the cover and don't read the book" if you know what I mean? But there are a lot of us out there that know that your goal is to inform us that there are a variety of unexplained paranormal activity out there , not just demonic! And unfortunately it is going to affect your personal life because you made it public that you did experience a demonic presence in your youth.It's just common curiosity !Now the trick is to meet a girl that has never seen your show,or can see past the celebrity persona !! Good luck with that you'll need it! But have faith Ryan your a good soul, and good thing always come to those who wait!!

BTW: I also agree it is your own personal business , But the public doesn't know when to draw that line. So you have to be firm about it , and also remember a lot of these people are just trying to find a way to have a connection with you ! Try to have patience with us as well!!

My biggest fear is that this subject matter will popularize the supernatural in the real sense of the word. We're not talking about residual type hauntings, or mischievous poltergeists but spiritual warfare. Your show and PRS deal with it very seriously as it should be.
FOLKS I want to tell you this is not TAPS. If anything, it's the real deal. Unless you want Ryan and his group to come to your house.... LEAVE IT ALONE. Knowledge is your best weapon. I do not know it all certainly not, I do know many centuries of history and unknown secrets than do most of the general population, but there is so much more to learn on this subject.
I can tell you this, it's old...ancient back to the very dawn of time as we know it. Now, if you think your ready to invite it in and try to befriend it go ahead....but I promise you this, you may spend the rest of your natural born days trying to get rid of it.
It's fascinating, scary, heart-pounding stuff, but I want to assure everyone who watches this show...it's real.
It is my contention that in the days/months/years to come. You will see a spiraling effect much like water being drained from a tub. Where the dark elements are at WAR for the souls of men/women as we approach the close of one era into the beginning of another. That means that if there were any "rules of engagement" there gone now. One popular radio talk show host refers to it as; "The Quickening". A most excellent description.
Who am I? .... I am just a soldier of God a protector of innocence and an advocate for the weak.
I think all would agree, please this stuff is not fun and games. It's not for your gratification in any way. If anything, I would hope the audience learn one thing from all this. BE AWARE....as above, so down below.

Why should people be scared from "The name." Why should people hide from this, i mean if you don't go looking for it you won't get it. 1 out of likt a million chances. But seriously if you get scared from "The name" you shouldn't watch the show, so why do people scare there selfs? Seriously, drop it with the "The name" thing. It's just a name and i agree with ryan. Just drop it.
P.S. Whats so bad with the name anyways? I watched the interveiw with that radio station you were on, and really the name is just a name.

There is another thread on the blog which contains the name. Remember, as above down below. There is a particular name of God that orthodox Jews will not ever say in reference to God because it is so sacred. The same is true for below...itself the name is sacred to those not of God.
In ancient Hebrew and Germatria the name is everything. This particular demon who very high up the food chain in terms of Ars Goetia is probably better off being unnamed for those who don't already know it.
I know why Ryan didn't want it named...it was for your protection....trust me.

Oh, i see. Well to me, im just like 15 now birthday was 2 days ago. And well i got no religious views or anything like the sort. Is what i find strange is that people are "FREAKING OUT" because of a name. I think that people should be more mature and just let it go. Although, your right some people, i think you said Jews and other's wouldn't. And if your that frightened, why don't you just stop watching the show, and stop scaring yourselves?

Your 15. My advice is live your life it's OK to study this subject matter but baby steps. Just as in Kabbalah, Egyptian Mystery and Freemasonry there are several levels of attainment of wisdom, each is built on the previous. It takes years, decades and a desire to know the truth.
Forget religion, this has nothing to do with religion. This is the very core of being spiritual creatures....religion has nothing to do with spiritual. It's not really being scared, but a very healthy respect.
I can tell you this, that episode gave you enough information where you'll figure it out easily enough if your interested and if you do, I might suggest looking up the rank....then you'll know.
Do you remember the look of concern on Ryan's face when that name was mentioned, he knew instantly. That's why he got the rest of his crew away from there.
I can not stress enough that what I have witnessed is the real deal, treat it with as much respect as standing on the side of a cliff on a windy day....step back it's a long way to the bottom.

Ok, your advise is really good. Although im utragous and I love to be in-control. So i can't really not help looking around and poking at stuff i shouldn't be studying. But well the paranormal is awsome, and unbelievable. I do know there is somethings you shouldn't tackle, but if i am faced with anything, I always face it head on, and i don't plan to give up anytime soon.

I have achieved Sublime Master Mason Status in Freemasonry and also within the York Rite, I am a Knights Templar. I am proud that I have made it finally as a "Free and Accepted Mason" to Master, but I also know as much as I want, I can't possibly learn everything I would like to know in my lifetime.
There are some Masons who really, really want to learn "the craft"....there are others who simply are content just being a part of it. I'll let you guess which category I fall under.

I can understand why you say not to play around with demons and this sort of thing but what I dont get is this, if we dont know what we are to be looking out for then how are we to protect ourselves? I would have preferred to discuss this privately but it happens to be here. I am no paranormal investigator or professional anything, just a layperson I guess, however I would like to know when something could be coming at me how to know if it is demonic or not. Is there a way to know these things? I hope it doesn't sound ignorant on my part although I consider myself ignorant on the subject as I know nothing more about demons than that they were cast down with Satan at least that is what I was taught all my life, is this correct? You are on my friends list on myspace so feel free to contact me there as I know this is a sensitive subject. Also for the record, I did not want to know the name of the demon and everytime they flashed it on the screen even mixed up it gave me chills. I wish they hadn't done that.

Ryan actually mentions that the reason he doesn't want to say the name is not out of fear or respect, but he believes he did not want to give the demon any undue attention or power by acknowleging it my it's name. He's mentioned this on the postmortem's...i think you should look it up.

I have to agree with Ryan.. give the demon "thing" a rest. Thoughts are things.. the more you think about something the more you draw the energy to yourself so forget about this subject and think happy or possitive thoughts. Again, as Ryan said the world has enough negative energy floating around disrupting our lives on a daily basis.. just watch the news. Good luck and blessings to Ryan and the PRS.. I am very happy that Ryan has this website because I believe it gets people facing the truth about what a demon is.
My Four Demons are non other than three of my Relatives and Dr. P. who was a psychiatrist when he walked the Earth and who did not ever believe his patients who heard voices and saw spirits were anything but dillussional but now that he has died he and my three relatives say they are now sitting inside my body as declared Satan's Followers to prove that most of the things that people believe about religion and demons is just a bunch of bunk written by humans who had never experienced death.
I personally believe in God and I tell them if they are so sure no one can ever do anything to punish them they should now step out of my body and challenge the neighbors and our other relatives with the same threat they have brought into my life and see what the other humans think about them and prove tome once and for all if they are punished for their sitting inside my body attacking me since the summer of l986 the first Anniversary of Dr. P. Death.
They say they are now afraid to leave my body because they have challenged God.
I said you have no proof that anything will happen to you scientifically and so please come out and prove once and for all that you deserve to be called a Demon instead of a chicken livered little abuser like most abusive men become even on earth when women reject them and tell them to leave.
I give my Demnons a name because they are my realtives and Dr. P and I want the whole world to know that while they are hiding inside my body inflicting pain they are still the same controlling, mean, opinionated souls they were when they walked the earth, butnow they have no human body and so its easy for four of them to sip through my body opening and right up tom y brain where they bang and curse while I try to sleap and then when I get up disoriented from the violence against me we start all over again and hpefully some day others will stop saying are you sure its your relatives and not some demons pretending to be my relatives?
They are not hiding behind my toilet but they do watch me go to the toilet, take a bath, sleep and argue with me day and night and I keep telling my story and still no priest or exorcist appears to save me.
When I told Loraine Warren my story she said before she will believe me I need at least three Psychiatrists to say I am sane.
Well Dr. Petas the now dead Psychiatrist got a real laught out of that one.
He sais no one would believe me or help me and he was right and now hopefully this doesn't turn into another Audrey Rose because of some Ignorant humans who don't believe.
There are more possessions out here than just the amityville horror.
Could it be that Loraine is afraid of my demons and still riding on the Amityville story until the day she dies?
That is what her husband tells me to get on her tail and milk this one for all its worth like she did the Amityvill

That's great. You know who your demons are, that's half the battle.
First off, you seems so bitter at everything that some suggests. Loraine Warren was simply needing confirmation before she spends her time and money to research your possession, she needs to know that's what it is.
If you can't handle that, your in the wrong place for help. You only way your going to find the answers you need is to look within. I would ask myself first; why is my demonic possession worse than anyone else's and if you really want help, a little humility goes a long way.

I am not bitter and I have no ill feelings towards Lorraine all I am saying is people with all her years of experience still questions the truth of something I am dealing with and because of that I cannot get anyone to believe or help and the ones who do believe have no idea how to solve these problems.
I am personally trying to scientifically prove one way or another if a Priest or Deliverance Minister who would try to help me could actually talk or force these spirits from my body.
Also you say I sound angry but the truth is everytime I write here the Spirits write swiftly through me and so all these thoughts and feelings are not mine some of it is their frustration that we can't challenge a Exorcist to intecede and prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that he and God and Jesus can take control of this situation and actually force these four from my body and if they can what eventually happens to them for the bad behavior they have been displaying as they attack me?
Only through proof can we be directed to the real truth about who are demons and what eventually happens to fallen angels like my three realtives and Dr. P.
or are they lab rats trying to prove these things so people will believe they are alive and capable of these things from beyond the veil of death.
I am no longer afraid of these four, although they cause me pain they are still too chicken to come out and see what if anything happens to them in the way of punishment for their behavior and that is what makes this paranormal research that I am trying to prove.
Since Dr. P. has been doing this his wife and his first born son whom he loved have both died and he now is too frightened to leave my body and go reunite with them simply because a Guide has told them he will destroy them if they don't repent and leave.
Scientifically we have no proof whatsoever that anything will happen to them when they leave my body and for that reason I suggest they leave my body and go see what they can do to other humans and will anyone or anything stop them?
Don't we all want to know the answer?

Rosemary, I've read your story, and I do understand some of what you're saying, it is all too true and very sad that demons (not human spirits) prey on the mentally ill. People have this idea and belief that they only do this to 'sane' people. This is a misunderstanding, there is no discrimination when it comes to demons, they're only after as many souls as they can get. When people die, and perhaps suddenly, in a state of confusion, mental illness or for the most part having lived a life not with some belief in God, they can become earthbound easily, they're suseptible now and a demon can keep them earthbound. You all saw the program where Ryan and the team go to the Insane Assylum and release so many trapped souls from the grip of demons? That was the most amazing thing that has come out of Paranormal State for me, what Ryan and his team did was just fantastic and beautiful.
Rosemary even if you have some mental issues you can be freed, you must work with the Doctors and God to get you to a state of some normalcy. If you dont' have mental issues, you must not listen to these earth bound human spirits or demons ever, you must shut them out with prayer, when you play into their game they can control and trick you. You surely don't want this right? The truth is you can help free yourself, but you must strive. Ignore the spirits, demand every day (anytime as much as you like) that all evil spirits leave you in the name of Jesus Christ. If you contact me I can send you two of the most powerful prayers in doing this. Do you think that God would be happy about your wanting to get rid of evil spirits only to wish them upon someone else? I assure you the answer is 'No', it's like a curse and curses only come from the devil, there's no bargaining with them ever. You must be strong and tell them to leave in the name of Jesus Christ, I can't tell you enough this is what you must do. The reason they can possibley abide in you is that it's true, they're scared to actually leave your body because they are possibly being informed by the demons that if they leave they'll go to hell etc..something like that I honestly don't know exactly how it works but they intimidate them with the fear that Jesus will have no mercy. This not true. Even though I have already suggested you not communicate with them, you may communicate that they must leave to face God's justice, which they don't know, no one does, not even demons. I have seen this done before, where a husband was keeping his wife and daughter earthbound because he was afraid of God's justice, he was eventually convinced to leave. Human spirits you may be able to convince, but not demons, theres so many things difficult to discern, so all that I've written is based on your words, it is only Conjecture, my guess work that I can give you any advice. Please do take it seriously, please practice handing over the situation to 'Jesus' and for Him and trusting (not doubting) that He will guide you out of it.

...I ran out of space. Lastly don't talk about them, don't mention the names these people anymore and you will quickly see the difference, (along with prayer) as they're weakened. You see every time you pay them attention you give them power, power of recognition, which is in a way you showing that you don't trust God. The only, the most powerful Creator, who created you, is waiting and loving you at the same time while you're worrying about something that He can make flee at anytime with a glance. It doesn't happen right away, you must work towards Jesus and holiness, this will release you, as first you will feel a repulsion to pray or to enter a church, but you must fight that. If you have no problems with any 'repulsion' towards the Holy, then you may very well not have problems with spirits or demons.
Don't get all hooked up on the Scientific answers, because if God doesn't want you to know, you wont find the answer, this is just a trick/lie to designed to keep you off track and baffle you into seeking answers outside of God...seeking them outside of God is a dead end.

Yeah, it was a bad way to start the season. A&E made a poor decision. They went for sensationalism at your expense and created the impression that the show was going to be a weekly installment of "The Exorcist."
I'm glad I waited around to watch additional shows because I'm so impressed by you and your team and what you try to do on a continuing basis.

I recall the episode, where if my memory serves me correctly, a demonic presence that you had previously been aware of was once again in your presence. Why do you think that such a presence continues to make contact with an individual? Might it be prudent to receive blessings before and after doing investigations?
I do not know if you carry blessed medals or wear them. Would wearing a scapula (sp?)that has been blessed help
along with a medal of St. Michael? It would be interesting to see how you feel overall after doing so, if you have not done so already. I can imagine that your work must be very draining at times and have heard that being in repeated contact with spirit presences can sometimes have that effect, no matter who you are. Hey Ryan,
I can see your frustration with a lot of people out there that want to know about your experiences, confrontations with the demonic. You're trying to share the real trauma, aggravation and triumph of PRS and ya'lls clients, and some can only hang on to one aspect of the haunting, and only want to grill you endlessly about it!

I have to say both episodes that dealt with the demonic were great episides, I also agree with you Ryan on keeping some things (Like your encounter with the demonic) private. A lot of people do focus on the bad things in this world but just remember there are a lot more good things happening in this world. Ryan I look forward to your commentary and You as well as your team keep up the great work.

After reading this blog, I'm convinced of one thing, and it all goes back to that Billy Joel song-We Didn't Start the Fire. You may not have started the fire, but you no doubt fueled the flame. I don't mean that in a bad way. Your show is informative, embracing, and very intruiging. You guys do such a service to many people out here in Anytown USA who have experienced what you've experienced. I think what has happened, though, is we (Americans) have taken your show and sensationalized it. I do believe that there are demons AND angels that roam this earth. The bible confirms it. But, I'm not going to spend my life searching for them or dwelling on it. Also, people will say and do anything to have a connection. Sadly, most will not give up. What you went through is extremely personal and for anyone to ask you about it is, for lack of a better term, a moron.
I said all that to say this,,,don't feel like you have to explain yourself or your experiences to ANYONE! If it's not their business, it's not their business. 'Nuff said.

hey ryan i just wnated to say i love watching your show.i believe that we all see things of nature at one time or another that cannot be explained.i believe in some but not of all things.but what you r doing to find proof and prove it is great. after watching some of the shows a lot of it changed my mind and i cant wait to see season number 2.

I think horror movies and hollywood do a lot of damamge to peoples perceptions of reality and how things truely are. And what you guys do is an amazing way to inform people that theres more to dealing with hauntings then getting rid of the spirit. Unfortunately for you a lot of reality tv shows are scripted or edited in such a way that people are not sure what to believe.

Hi Ryan. Thank you for sharing your experiences and thank you mostly for being a truly caring spirtual human being and an example for others. I love anything paranormal but your show is especially enjoyable to watch.....especially with those cute dimples of yours! You have such passion and compassion for what you do and for the people. I completely understand wanting to keep some things to yourself. Not only because talking of it allows it to breathe but also if you have never had the experience you just don't and won't understand or maybe believe and it changes nothing that has happened to tell anyone of these things.
I became interested in your show out of my own experiences and constant curiosity who else has had this experience or similar experience. Growing up I felt alone, detached, fearful and confused. Religion is not improtant to me-spirituality is. I believe in what "you" believe in for you, however I have come to understand more and more that Religion is man made and the true church of our Lord-is our Earth, He built this for us.

Ryan, I really enjoyed your blog on the episode that involved the name of which you should not mention. I can understand the attention that something like that gets. I understand because I have been there and I learned many years ago not to say the name of what I encountered. I was shocked to see the reaction that it had upon you. I didn't know that other people had those types of things happened to them also. I felt comforted and an instant bond in a way because "I was not alone" I had this kind of thing happen through out my entire life. People do want to connect especially when they have had things like this happen in their lives. I think that was part of the reason that you began your research.
I got caught up in my search for answers for a while. It became like a big puzzle I kept trying and trying to put all the pieces together ... but in truth there is no puzzle. It is all just a way for me to get caught up in the mystery. I forgot to put God first and found myself putting out more energy seeking out the unknown then I did in the living. I have since gotten a check on my priorities. Now I feel that there are the enlightened and the unenlightened. The enlightened do not need us and the unenlightened hunger for someone to just notice that they are still here in some way. There are also dark spirits that desire to destroy us. I feel that we shouldn't giving them credit for every woe we have, but to still be mindful of their presence. I truly enjoy your show! Honestly if I had been there in the bar with you I would have asked you the same question, maybe not at that moment, but I would have asked too. The desire for someone that could understand ... and maybe have some answers for me is too strong. You never know, she might have had a experience herself .. or maybe she just a nosy girl! LOL

Lots of interesting thoughts and opinions posted tonight (4/7/08). I too wondered where the show was but, with the season done, it's probably just on hiatus. In doing some channel-surfing, I found a documentary on how the late James Brown "saved" Boston during the riots following Martin Luther King, Jr.'s assassination with a special stage performance. Spiritual too, in a different way.
Freemasons, eh? Over a decade ago in the town I live in, I walked into a Dodge dealership to look at the new Rams. A salesman I shook hands with said my handshake was like that of a Mason. "'Mason'?" I replied: "As in 'Free'?" I'd like to think it was meant as a compliment, not just to butter me up into buying a new truck on the spot.
In another posting on this site I mentioned, among the many paranormal experiences I had when I was young, automatic writing. I'd experimented with it after reading a book on the subject, written by a man who had found his "spirit guide" that way. I found a spirit all right, or one found me, one that ultimately turned out to be malicious. A friend of my family who was a card reader--a woman who normally never called me; I was usually the one to call her--contacted me out of the blue a couple of nights after I'd broken off contact with the spirit. She said she had to come over and "clean" the apartment to remove something I'd invited in. I'd never told her about the book or the automatic writing. A few days later she came over and did so, even removing two objects in the apartment she felt drew negative energy.
So, let's leave the "demon thing" alone for now. Talking about it can only conjure up negative energy (I've potentially gone too far in even mentioning the above anecdote), and we never know what we invite in. If/when it comes time for Ryan and PRS to confront the issue and it's captured on camera, cool; if not, not. Let us focus on more positive things in our lives. Ryan, enjoy your hiatus--watch your step around those amorous college bar chicks--and I look forward to the new season.

Fact!! Men can be in OES. My grandfather just passed on the title of Worthy Grand Patron of the State of MS - two weekends ago in Tupelo, MS. He is ALSO a FM. Emmitt N. Thomas Ch #62 of Greenville MS is our location. However, there are four generations of women from my family in OES. It IS a heavy female presence, but men can also be members.

Calm down I know the Paranormal can be frightening and I am concerned about you and the way you are behaving and talking, could it be that a Demon has taken over your life and causes you to talk like this on a paranormal Board?
That is how Evil Spirits cause humans to behave when they try to take control of you and show what power they have over a human and sometimes the human is not even aware of what is motivating their behavior.
We have all read stories about people who are normally calm and well adjusted who suddenly behave in a terrible way and even go on killing sprees and after its all over they will blame it on voices they herd that instructed them to do these things and in fact hounded them for years until they did their bidding.
We all need to analyze our thoughts and dreams and see what is behind it.
There are good spirits and bad spirits in the afterlife and sometimes they re just the spirits of a personality like yours who dies and then curses and rages through humans who have the misfortune to speak to them from beyond the veil.
When Humans die their same personalities and intelligence goes to the Spirit World and when they find they re alive and can speak back to earth and no one hears or sees them sometimes they can masquarade as good and or evil just to get people to see that Demons are just frustrated spirits of the dead trying to convince humans they are alive.

He is simply a nasty person. 99.9999999999999% of the time, when someone is either misbehaving or acting nasty it is due to choice, not Demons. 99.99% of the time, when people have a Psychotic Episode, and think they are "possessed" by Demons, they are only Psychotic.
Rosemary, Lorraine is like a Psychic Hammer. A hammer thinks anything it sees is a nail. Lorraine, as sweet as she is, thinks most of what SHE sees are Demons. If SHE doubts your demons, I would be very sure your issues are something else.
And, Demons, when they do appear are NEVER ghosts of humans. Demons are not, and never were human. They are INHUMAN from the start. Someone who once lived on this earth as a human cannot "possess" someone as a Demon.
Dear, please, see those Psychiatrists Lorraine suggested. The reason neither she nor any priests will "exorcist" you is that there is a completely different issue you are dealing with, other than Demons. Medications can help, I guarantee it.

First of all many people are very uninformed about the Spirit World and one day when its your time to go there you will learn that I am right and you are wrong, and then will you have someone you can appear to or will they just call you an old evil demons and you will never be able to reach earth again.
When a human dies the spirit leaves the body and takes with it all its memories and personality and their personality doesn't change much from what it was on earth.
You of course not having much experience along these lines believe all the things you have been taught and brainwashed with since birth and are unable to open up your mind and accept truths as people like me have learned as we seperate fact from fiction.
Many people are closed mind and brainwashed by religious reteroic and one day when you go to the spirit world you will learn these things I say to be true.
Ignorant Humans are responsible for the Crucifixion of jesus and Joan of Arc who told people she was a Channell for God and of course they told her that she was crazy and that is what is usually told to most Psychic Channells and I don't know if its because many humans are just informed on this subject or if they just have such a closed mind they can't accept the truth about what people are trying to teach them who know what they are talking about.
Most mental hospitals are filled with people wh have psychic abilities and don't understand why they re hearing voices and seeing Spirits and the ignorant psychiatrists who don't have any more knowledge than the patients who come to them for help are at the root of the problem that causes people like you to talk to a Psychic like me the way you do.
Now I suggest you go on the internet and enter the words Paranormal and Spirit Channelling and see if you can't become a little more knowledgeable about these things before you insult someone like me who knows a heck of a lot more about what I am talking about than you do.

Let me just say that you can have any opinion you want to have about anything, that is a right for everyone. Now, anyone can have a website put on the internet, just because it's there, doesn't mean it's true! I can search for paranormal and spirit channeling and get thousands of websites listed and 10-1, they are all a bunch of crap. That is the beauty of the internet, I could make up anything I wanted to. Let's say I put on here that my poop tastes like steak, would you believe that too? I don't think so.

I used to think Hollywood movies were all make belief and of course some of them seem so but make no mistake about it Audrey Rose was real and the problem that happened there is no one believed this was happening other and made all sorts of excuses.
The priest following past procedures as to how to treat the possessed caused her to fast and give up food and when this happened instead of driving out the demon or possessing spirit poor audrey rose became weaker and weather from lack of nourishment and eventually starved to death just as some anorexics do as they lose weight and lose strength.
you cannot starve a demon out of a human and you can't win against them with the old wives tales and ignorance that most people have about these matters.
What everyone needs to know is that Demons in my opinion is merely the spirits of the dead who refuse to accept their death and miss interacting with humans on Earth when people don't believe they are alive and try to insult them and drive them away they become mean and ugly and decide if they can't be accepted or believed then they will just do whatever they can to get attention and that is how possessions as I know them begin.
I for example am now trying to solve my possession problem with my three realtives and Dr. P. by telling them they can't win this way and if they continue they will only humiliate their relatives and friends on earth and in the spirit world and now what they need to do is step out of my body and do Paranormal Research in the right way.
They need to leave my body and go visit our relatives who have refused to believe what I say and or believe their relatives exist in the heavens and talk to them in a nice way and make beleivers out of them.
They can further research by visiting neighbors in a calm way and see if the people or pets know they ae in the house and when they return then we will write about what happened in their little adventure and we will bell the world they only wanted attention and to get people to believe they are alive and they can do whatever they choose in the universe as I s ee it now and as time goes on we will prove once and for all what hapens to spirits who behave this way.
As you can see I am trying to work things out with my demons and help to further paranormal research.
Will they listen to me now and straighten up and fly right?
Or will my good advice fall on deaf ears again today?
Only time will tell as I take one day at a time the way the Bible tells us to do.

Anyone with half a brain would agree with you and know that saten is not everywhere as he is not able to be everywhere, the only one who is omnipresent is God himself. DUH!!! But anyway, I do feel like you Ryan that the state of the world is awful but I really hate hearing people say "The devil made me do it"! I feel like this is an excuse. We all have free will and yes I do believe there are demons out there and yes I know that we are sometimes tested in our faith by such but satan himself cannot be everywhere torturing everyone at once, and seriously why would he wanna hang out in a bathroom when the recliner in the living room or the posturpedic in the bedroom is so much more comfy. Sorry a little humor there. So we do know some people are tortured by demons but we also know the satan is only one being. So I said all I came to say I think. I have no personal proof that the Devil exists but I do know the spirits of our relatives and acquaintenances die and go to the World Beyond where they have everlasting life.
From that vantage point they can reappear to us as Demons, Devils our kind relatives and loved ones or about anything they choose to do depending on the mood they are in.
Now to date I can find no one in the afterlife that has the power to force a spirit to do anything they don't want to do but of course I have no proof yet of what will happen to several spirits I have been writing about, because they are afraid to come out and find out what punishment if any awaits them.
So for now I have to trust in the Guide who told them if they are sill inside my body when it dies they will be put to death as soon as they come out.
On the other hand he has also told them they can save themselves by coming out and we are trying spirit release therapy on them and I am hoping they will come out and as spirits with free will test the powers of the universe by trying whatever they choose to and let me see if anyone stops them then I will have more secrets of the Universe and perhaps get a little closer look at what happens to Evil Spirits who don't straighten up eventually and fly right.
Many people have erroneous information about Life after Death and its been taught to them down through the ages by preachers and priests who also may not have all the answers.
so while I go to church and believe in God and am loyal to him, I also have to intelligently ask myself can I just believe this without actually testing the waters by having these four spirits who have appered as Satan's followers come out and let me see if they are punished for their behavior.

We talk about creation and Evolution and of course there is creation because we are here, and we have evolved down through the ages but where did it all begin and what does God look like?
A Spirit appears who tells me he is God and he appers in many forms, yet he can't solve my problem so far so is he using me as a human Guinea pig to teach the world what I am learning.

I would have to say that I can relate to your view on demons etc. As a child I was always aware of things; my sister and I had experiences. My Mother seemed to have alot of belief in such things but I deffinitely got the impression that these matters were not to be taken lightly. I believe that you often receive what you put out there, positive or negative, you attract things. I also believe that focusing on the negative does not benefit your wellbeing. There seemed to be an unspoken understanding in our house amongst the females, we did not toy with some things because you were inviting them into your life and ultimately had little control over what or whom.I still have alot of questions of course, and have spent alot of time trying to decide how to answer some of them, if any. Thank you for keeping some things to yourself, to me, it is one of the things that makes you, well you; and not a person on a show.

Your comment is exactly what Dr. P. one of the Evil Spirits and his three friends wants to hear.
When he walked the earth he was a Psychiatrist who graduated from the famed Menninger Institute and he had many patients who thought they were mentally ill who heard voices and saw spirits and they didn't know much about the Paranormal or Life after Death.
When he got to the Spirit World the first thing he and my three realtives thought about was to frighten me and have me tell their story hoping no one would believe me and in the beginning that was true but over the years more and more people are becoming better educated as far as these things go and in the future I would wager that you won't make remarks like that because remarks like that are so yesterday and causes you to sound clueless about these things when there are so many things posted on the Internet that can enable you to become better informed as to these kinds of matters.
I am not trying to sound mean, but the kinds of things posted along those lines just causes these possessing spirits to laugh and taunt.
I have said they should come out and see who else they can convince that they re present and I will write with it.
I am not talking about you of course, the ones I thought they should convince they are alive are our relatives who don't believe they have been doing this.
I suggested they visit them and see if they can detect their presence and if they do tell them they mean them no harm that they have been doing this to me because they hate me and wanted people to lock me up so they could torment me even more.
But as I said Dr. P's wife and son have joined him in the spirit world but appear to want nothing to do with him because he refused to go to their funeral or help them adjust to their death and now he is basically afraid to come out and go join them after the ass he has made out of himself.
I intend to keep writing about him until he decides to leave my body and let me see where he goes and what he does so I can write about him forever to punish him for the years he has done this to me.

i know you have face many challenges in your life and overcome many of them. You're in a work in a field which many people fear. Working in paranormal you encounter evil and good. Many people think you are crazy for doing this. My parents especially my father don't want me to become involved in the paranormal field. After my experiences with it, I know I will be good investigator once I'm a trained.
We have to fight battles and god help we will win.
I hope you meet someone that into you and not paranormal side of you.
you are star now. Be careful of people that may cause you harm. I mean stalkers. I was victim of one about fours ago. They can make your life a living hell. You may not even know. I didn't for about six months.

And in all fairness, there was no set up to your joke on the forums about Lorraine with the brass knuckles. Think of it this way, the post before that was "Chip gets b*tch slapped by Lorraine" and the one before that was "Chip curses out Ryan Buell". At that point, we were willing to believe anything. I wouldn't put it past Lorraine to break out the brass knuckles and put in a few good rounds anyways.

After reading bits of your blog and some comments, I wonder if you ever regret having done the whole "show thing" to begin with. People seem to continuously want to read more and more into the very same thing over and over again. The tediousness of it all must be so irritating (that may be the worst understatement of the year-sorry). Sometimes I see the same questions posted, perhaps phrased differently, in hopes of finally reading if but a piece of what you've wanted to keep "private and personal."
Whatever--anywho, I like the show and think it shouldn't be limited to just half an hour. Maybe if it were an hour long, there wouldn't be as many questions asked...or maybe right the opposite would occur. Either way, the show kicks ass and I find it quite entertaining.

Ryan you could not be more wrong which surprises me since your a paranormal investigator. I'm a future demonologist, and from what I know evil lurkes everywhere. It can be created in energy. Demons main purpose is to seek the weak. Turn on the news and "alas" their are your demons. You know I'm right. Evil wears a lot of masks. Example, if you were to see me you would never guess I'm a future demonologist. Whether it's this demon "no name" or a little boy wanting to stab you, evil is very real and peole need to start realizing that by doing what they do they can be pritty much inviting in evil. And to people who are being haunted ignore it, it will go away, you dont need Ryan to come in with a recorder and talk to himself for three days.

I loved the demonic episode! I am reading through some of the notes that people are writing to you... its entertaining to say the very least.
You do realize that you are now officially a celebrity. Crazy people everywhere are going to tell you that they can 'empathize with your plight because they have experienced a similar tramatizing event...' YIKES!
Psycho's aside, I really enjoy like the show. I hope your second season is as good, if not better then the first.

For those who don't believe in Evil Spirits and what they can do to ones body and Life I would like to tell you what my days are like.
I am awakened by the Evil Spirits anywhere from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. depending on when the pain becomes so intense that I can't law abed any longer.
I come into the kitchen disoriented from the violence against me as I slept and it starts all over again.
As they try to force me to do what they want all day and by dark I cannot watch television like others do i am so exhausted that all I can do is drag myself to the couch and fall asleep or drag myself off to bed where they tear at my brain the entire night as i sleep.
Then i go on the Internet to try to tell the Story hoping a Priest or Deliverance Minister will finaly agree to help me but help never comes.
Once Reverand Bob Larson had someone get in touch with me and I filled out a Questionaire and sent a picture as requested but that was about six months ago and so I guess the Picture said I wasn't young enough or pretty enough to be in his Exorcism Films so he is off saving the pretty people.

I have not heard from anyone personally but I did a link to this and so of course after I read some posts I am telling my story.
what I have been doing to draw attention to my plight is put the name of Dr. P. in as many Stories as I can and circulate them over the internet not only in this country but everywhere I can find a link.
I am hoping when he realizes that his family on Earth and his family members who passed over after he did whom he refuses to join up with in the Spirit world he will be so ashamed of himself and how this might affect them that he might possibly begin to think about someone elses feelings other than his own and he will then agree to come out of my body and bring my three realtives and if they decide to continue to see what they can get away with they will take on other humans and leave me alone to write but at this point in time no one has any reason to fear them because they are too chicken to come out of my body and confront a Higher Power after what they have been doing.
I am suffering but I don't know how to end it and since I can't find an Exorcist to prove one way or the other whether he can help me get them out I am just going from day to day and writing about what is happening to me and hoping it can help further paranormal research and show the world what can happen during a Possession when no one believes or supports a person who is having a problem like mine.
By publicizing my situation I am hoping in the future when someone like me has such a problem they will find more help and support.
My Family will not believe these three and dr. P are the ones doing this, because like most they believe they are up in Heaven and they think a Demon is pretending to be our Relatives but the real truth is my realtives and Dr. P. are declaared Satans Followers pretending to be Demons.
Once my own sister said if you don't stop telling me these things someone should pick up a gun and shoot you.
My Daughter got together with her and said if I don't stop telling this story they can have me committed and with what people believe who knows what could happen.
Peoples beliefs can harm people like me who learn the truth about the Spirit World.
Can a Priest fix it?
Well so far all my Prayers to God and Jesus have not helped but I still believe in the good Guides who work through me, whether they can take the spirits out of my body or not.
I couldn't deal with this situation without my Guide Thomas who gives me strength to deal with this situation.
Thomas helps me to have a sense of humo amongst all the pain and suffering.
Dr. Petas is an Evil Bastard whom I will never love again or forgive for hwat he has done.
So get lost Dr. Petas of Sylvania, Ohio as you show your friends and relatives what you are in the Spirit World.
Does anyone out there who knew Dr. P. still love him the way you did when you were his favorite playing kissy face with him in his office?

Rosemary, why are you still allowing spirit guides to work through you when you are in a "vulnerable" state. Do you perhaps think that this may even be part of the problem? Just a comment, take it for whats its worth.

I am still allowing Spirit Guides to work through me because they are the ones who have kept me strong against three of my relatives and Dr.P. who set out to frighten and terrorize me and the Guides stepped in and gave me wonderful psychic information and taught me the truths about the Spirit World.
My Relatives and Dr. P. who didn't believe these things when he walked the earth and who treated people like me with medicine and shock treatment to try to destroy their psychic abilities is now in the spirit world I suppose to teach others like me what can happen to humans when they meet a benovalant spirit like they are behaving.
But make no mistake about it they are mean, spiteful and jealous of my work with the other guides and set out to try to force me to work with them exclusively to write about all their unhappiness and they thought they had to get my attention through pain and by terrorizing me and the guides have tried to talk them out and when that didn't work they said write about them and tell the world all about them and put their names into the copy and try to get them to straighten up and come out and fly right and do their teaching in the right way.
Now all they have to do now is come out and let me see where they go in the future and what they do and I will continue to write about them.
To not type would also stop me from getting all the wonderful ideas from the guides I do which I send off for Medical Research which is already making a difference in the world as we contribute ideas to important research.
